This is the first stage of the illustration. Next to come up is the blocking out of the main colours/shades and the final video will be on Photoshop editing.
A quick pen and ink drawing.
Just started posting some videos on my youtube channel!
Loads more coming very soon :D
Just finished this concept tonight!
I might be adding water under the platform at a later stage.
I was looking through my folders today and found this drawing I made about two years ago. The plan was to scan the image and color it in photoshop. But I failed terribly, it looked like a disaster!
My plan is to try it again and see how it goes. If you don't find another post of this drawing it will be because it didn't work out.. again ;)
Gouache and Photoshop Concept
Working on my gouache skills.
I am learning now how to model in Maya. The house I started modeling is based on a drawing I did about three years ago. Later on, I will try and add a lot more detail to give the house extra character.
Here is what it looks like at the moment.
I have never worked with gouache before and I saw some fun illustrations on pinterest that were made with gouache.
So yesterday I decided to go out and buy the paint and this was the result of last nights tester.
Getting ready for Christmas by making a few collections of charms with polymer clay.
Finally finished my very first colour visual on photoshop! This concept was made for a short animation collaboration I am working on. You can see some of the progress pictures (grayscale and visual development) on earlier blog posts, but I have also left here a little gif that sums up the process from grayscale to colour. Hope you like it ❤

I had a watercolour lesson from my lovely grandmother a few days ago and this is the result! It's always nice to get tips and learn a little more.

Just started to add the base colours
Working on some more details on the foreground and background before starting to add the colours in
Working on the lighting and fixing some details on the drawing with photoshop
I am half was through this watercolor concept for a short animation (collaboration) project that I'm working on at the moment.
After finishing the painting I will work some photoshop magic on it, so you will see a post of that coming up pretty soon :)
Pesho, Andrew and I decided to collaborate and create a short animation. I won't be giving away the story line you will just have to wait and see, but I will be giving you sneak peaks into the visual development of environments and character.
We had a rough idea of what we wanted the main piece of the environment to look like so I started by sketching some examples and we ended up choosing image two, so we could work from there.
From here we decided to go with the sketch on the right.
This is where I am at, at the moment. Just developing different views and we are trying to decide which details need to be worked on.
This is the "final" sketch we might still make some slight changes and then I will be colouring the concept.
I made this watercolor when I was about 17 years old. The house on the picture unfortunately does not exist anymore due the big floods on 20th February 2010 in Madeira.
